This means we do not sell barcode scanners, barcode readers, barcode printers or any related software, but, we do have a number of approved Alliance Partners who can help your business meet these needs.
Why choose GS1 Australia?
When it comes to buying barcodes, making the decision on price alone should not be your only consideration. GS1 Australia is the only GS1 Member Organisation in Australia to license barcodes with the Australian '93' prefix. Our numbers are unique within the GS1 system, and we provide authentic GS1 barcode numbers. Buying barcodes from a non-GS1 Member Organisation can give rise to risk as there is no way to know whether the barcode you're buying has not been previously used in the supply chain. Major Australian and international retailers endorse the use GS1 identification keys and standards.
It is an all too often occurrence that companies come to GS1 after their products are rejected by retailers because the barcode they use doesn't match the product it's on when scanned. Don't risk unnecessary disruption with your customer relationships and the financial burden that can occur using barcodes sold by a non-GS1 Member Organisation. Join the GS1 family of over 22,000 members for barcodes that you can guarantee are unique and yours and let us guide you through the process with our strong relationships with industry leaders, specialist customer support and training to suit your needs.
"We verify the authenticity of product identifiers by checking the GS1 database. EANs/UPCs that do not match the information provided by GS1 will be considered invalid. We recommend obtaining your product identifiers directly from GS1 (and not from other third parties selling EAN/UPC licences) to ensure that the appropriate information is reflected in the GS1 database."
