Dynamic User Interface (DUI)

The NPC contains many attributes to cater for the wide variety of products that are sold in Australia and the complex data requirements that they have. Simplifying the view for Australian Healthcare suppliers who are using the online NPC Publisher Tool to manage their product data has been raised as a priority.By delivering this new enhancement we will significantly improve the suppliers experience by automatically adjusting the view to better suit their type of products. 

  • Medicines suppliers view it will adjust to only show you the fields relevant to these products across your trading partners requirements 

  • Medical device suppliers view it will adjust to only show you the fields relevant to these products across your trading partners requirements, with future plans to also include the Australian UDI database where suppliers choose to use the NPC to share their data to the TGA. 


How does the DUI work?

Healthcare-only suppliers will be configured with the DUI ON. It will be able to be turned OFF and ON by the user moving forward when and if needed.When turned on, the Screen display will then be driven by the GPC code of the item.  

  • GPC Code for Drugs: 10005845 will filter to show the attributes relevant to Medicines

  • GPC Code for Medical Devices: 10005844 will filter to show the attributes relevant to Medical Devices 


If you want to see the full data attribute set for an item, simply turn OFF the DUI whilst in the item. The slide toggle can be found in the upper left corner of the item editor:
