The agreed point in the supply chain where the Supplier makes the goods available to the Retailer.
 

Example:

John’s Bakery produces Rye Bread which is delivered directly to XYZ Supermarkets. The attribute value will be DSD (Direct Store Delivery).

Useful Tips:
  • The Distribution Method Code within Allowance and Charge records must be the same as the Parent price entry

New Zealand Grocery sector

  • May provide more than one distribution method code (additional codes require unique price records).

Foodstuffs

  • If the product List Price is identical for all distribution methods, the UNS code can be used.

Coles Supermarkets

  • Require only one distribution method code

Metcash

  • Use DC or DSD only

Woolworths AU/NZ

  • Use DC or DSD only
